We just can’t be out of touch! Wi-fi hotspots on commercial planes..where there’s demand, there’s supply. “We are the World” – MJ shows we are 1

A simple song from Michael Jackson – “We are the World”…simple as it seems, but powerful!

We are all different, yet we are the same in many ways. All of us make up 1 entity – the human race. A supreme race, some would say. Yet in many ways, we lack the basic understanding or probably plain ignorance to the simple facts of the world we live in.

To MJ, rest in peace. Your music and its noble cause live on!

“We are the World
We are the children
We are the ones to make a brighter day
so let’s start giving”

Tribute to MJ – Earth Song

With MJ, regardless of the good and bad that you see and hear, he is still loved by many. One thing for sure, his music brought greater awareness to the well-being of world, the lives and needs of the people, the love and hate. It makes us revisit the thought of how people are so concern about everyday meaningless trivial matter, when what we should be seeing is beyond ourselves. We “see” our country, we “see” Earth…but how much of the Universe do we “see”? What are the greater sense of purpose in our lives?

Voluntourism : Travel made meaningful

Time for travel break? We go for sightseeing, scout for local bites, bargain-hunt for local handicrafts & souvenirs, watch a local traditional cultural performance, say bye to your fellow local guide and travel- mates. Then to return home admiring the travel photos that we snap along the way, the wonderful memories that remind us of all the fun the trip has been.

Upon stumbling on an article on voluntourism, it gives a whole new perspective what travelling can be. VolunTourism combines both vacation trip with volunteer work. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in local cultures, make friends and “live” among the locals, make a difference in your lives and their lives.
